Rules and Regulations for the Use of Indraprastha Halls

In order for any function to be carried out in a smooth manner, the hosts and management must work closely together. We are always ready to co-operate with you in every respect so please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss any specific needs or requirements that you may have.

Possession and Return
If you have booked the hall for a wedding and reception, you get possession at 7 p.m. on the day before the wedding ceremony and the hall must be vacated by 9 p.m. on the following day.

If you have booked the hall for a wedding only, you get possession at 7 p.m. on the day before the wedding ceremony and the hall must be vacated by 5 p.m. the following day.

If you have booked the hall for a reception only, you get possession at 6 p.m. on the day of the reception and the hall must be vacated by 9 p.m. on the same day.

If you would like to book the hall outside these timings or for longer periods (for example if you would like the reception to continue beyond 9 p.m.) please let us know and we will be happy to try and accommodate your request.

Booking and Payment
Full payment for the rent of a hall is required at the time of booking. A booking is not considered as confirmed unless payment in full has been made. A hall that has been booked but has not yet been paid for, may be given away to another party if the other party makes payment prior to the person holding the booking.

Cancellation and Change of Date
Once a hall has been booked and paid for, it cannot be cancelled.

If you do wish to cancel the booking, we will make that date/hall available to other parties. If we get an alternate booking for the same date/hall, we will refund 75% of your booking payment. If we are unable to get an alternate booking, the full amount of your booking will be forfeited.

A change of date will be treated as a cancellation and the same rules will apply. A booking for a new date will have to be paid for in full at the time of booking.

You may not use the services of Indraprastha Halls staff for loading and unloading of goods and material to be used in a function.

Every marriage arranged in the hall must be duly registered as per the rules laid down by law. This is the responsibility of the persons booking the hall and a copy of the marriage licence must be given to the manager prior to the date of the function.

Safety and Security
While we exercise great care in making the halls safe, it is impossible for hall staff to be aware of who is a genuine guest at a function and who isn’t. All your belongings, valuables and cash should be safely locked in the lockers provided. Management is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from theft or misplacement of cash and valuables.

You are responsible for providing room locks for the private rooms made available to you during a function and for ensuring that the room is safely locked when unoccupied.

Dispute Resolution
We will always try and settle all disputes amicably and fairly. In the unlikely event that we are unable to do so, all dispute resolutions will fall under the jurisdiction of the Pune Court.
